Nasi Lamak on the Korner

Trawling through Zomato this afternoon I was excited to find a nice sounding Malaysian place that is named after a traditional Malaysian dish Nasi Lamak and which happens to be one of my favourites.

After spending three months in Malaysia, I have memories of eating Nasi Lama from Banana leaves for breakfast that we got from a local stall but really I could eat Nasi Lamak all day.

But since Malaysia is a little far away to pop out for a Nasi Lamak, a short drive to the Korner will have to do.

I fell in love with it straight away. It has an inner city “converted warehouse” feel to it while being cosy. It has a nice mural on the wall that brings iconic landmarks from Perth and Malaysia together.

Tonight, it fairly full but not packed. The staff were friendly and on point. The food came out relatively quickly and unlike some suburban places presentation was good, although you can’t really go wrong with Nasi Lamak, can you?
